RoHS Compliance for Electrical Cables

All electrical cables sold within Europe must be compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive of 2013. This regulation restricts the use of certain chemicals used in electronic and electrical equipment. These products do not contain any of the restricted substances specified in the RoHS Directive or exceed the maximum concentrations stipulated therein. It should be noted that under RoHS 3 (EU 2015/863) compliance with the RoHS Directive is included and implied within CE marking.

REACH Compliance for Electrical Cables

The Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH for short) is a European Directive enacting strict regulations on chemical substances. This law runs through to is overseen by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). With REACH, the European Community has created a harmonised System: the goal is to ensure a high level of protection for the environment, health and safety.
